This mural for Kalamunda Hotel was inspired by native flora of the beautiful Perth Hills. The hotel has been operating for over 100 years and is a staple venue for the locals and popular amongst tourists.
The colours used across the three exterior murals complements the raw and traditional colours of the building itself as well as Australian flora.
My design incorporates three iconic flowers: the Eucalyptus, Banksia and Wattle. The Eucalyptus flower is scattered around the Kalamunda area.
The Banksia flower in represents regeneration, breathing new life into this century-old building.
